According to their official website, Turkish metallers PENTAGRAM (know outside of Turkey as MEZARKABUL) will celebrate their 20th Anniversary with a performance on February 4th at Bostanci Gösteri Merkezi in Istanbul (Turkey).

Full details on the show can be found here.

In late October, 2006, Oikotimes.com's Thanos Economou reported that Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claimed that TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corp.) has asked former Pentagram guitarist Demir Demirkan to compose the 2007 Turkish entry for Helsinki's Eurovision Song Contest edition.

Demirkan is member of the TRT committee for the Eurovision Song Contest and it was said that he was negotiating with various artists to decide who would perform his song entry.

According to the newspaper, Demirkan declined the offer but left an open window for possible participation and considers TRT to be taking the contest far too seriously. He believes that the song which will be sent to Helsinki should be in English, using the example of his winning entry back in 2003, saying that if it wasn't in English, it wouldn't have won.
