hot flashes news the eternal

Australian metallers THE ETERNAL have issued the following update:

"We have uploaded a new demo track recorded late last year. As we will not hit the studio until at least mid-year to actually record our new album (with the working title 'Kartika'), we thought we would share a new track with you to keep you all interested!

'Without Reason' (available here) was engineered by Endel Rivers and Mark Kelson and was mixed by Endel. Every one of the 16 Tracks we have written are quite different from each other, so what you will be hearing is just a small taste of what is to come! Enjoy!

(In other news) we would like to welcome James O'Toole as our new bass player. After quite a few months of working together we are pleased to have James officially onboard. James's song writing ability and great bass technique are an asset to the band and we look forward to introducing him to you on tour very shortly.

Marty O'Shea has also returned on drums after a year's absence from the band. Most of you will know Marty from his great work on our last album Sleep Of Reason.

Guitarist Lincoln Bowen has taken an extended leave of absence due to the not so distant arrival of his second child. Terry Vainoras (CANYONAERO, INSOMNIUS DEI) will be taking his place for the foreseeable future.

We look forward to getting these boys on the road! Rehearsals have been going well and we are also beginning to introduce new material into the live set.

The Eternal 2007 touring lineup:

Mark Kelson: guitar/vocals

Terry Vainoras: guitar/backing vocals

Chris Stevenson: keyboards/programming

James O'Toole: bass guitar/backing vocals

Marty O'Shea: drums"
