Canadian prog/goth/metal band HOWLING SYN check in with the following update:

"Happy New Year to all the Synners!

We've slightly changed the look of the official website (www.howlingsyn.net) to make it a little more evil for 2007.

Great news! Howling Syn started recording some new material last December for an album that should be titled A Taste of Modern Evil. You will find a recap and some pictures at this location."

As previously reported, the band are working on their new album in Trois Rivieres, Quebec with Francis Perron (DECAYED REMAINS, THE SYRE) who also worked on their first album, Forebearers Of Dusk (2002 Galy Records).

Band leader Patryk Pigeon recently stated, "12 songs will be recorded... the mixing should be done in February, so expect a more heavy, fast and theatrical record. And for those who already know our sound you will have some suprises cause we will sound more agressive and powerful than before!

We will have also a few special guest on this album, La pianiste qui revais d'humanité have done a great job with the synths arangements, we'll also have Jean-Marc Pisapia from the legendary canadian band THE BOX to lay vocals on one song and we'll have Gaby Koss to do some ambient vocals on a few songs she is formely from the band HAGGARD."

More details to follow.
