Fantastic news for all of you in the USA. Today Glenn has officially confirmed his first gig, which will take place at BB King's in New York City on Monday, June 4th, 2007. More dates are hoped to follow and be announced shortly.

Glenn Hughes, also known as "The Voice Of Rock", is a bassist and vocalist who joined forces alongside David Coverdale in DEEP PURPLE for three classic albums: Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band. He was also the lead vocalist for BLACK SABBATH in the mid 1980s.

Glenn's latest album, Music For The Divine, is a rich tapestry of the soul, funk and rock which have always influenced his music. Artistically and spiritually, this album is a true representation of where Glenn Hughes wants to be right now. The new album was recorded at the Hollywood Hills home of Chad Smith, who played drums and co produced the record with Glenn. Recording in the house (the former residence of actor Cary Grant) had a significant influence on the atmosphere of the music and the direction of the album. Joining Chad and Glenn on Music for the Divine was long-standing musical partner JJ Marsh on guitar and another RHCP, guitarist John Frusciante.

His new touring band is Jeff Kollman on guitar, Mark Mondesir on drums and Anders Olinder on keyboards.

Meanwhile, the following message has been posted at Hughes' site: "Just got a sign of life from the guys who despite the cold appearently have a great time in Russia. The audience reactions and the size of the crowds are among the best Glenn's ever got as a solo artist. There have been several sold out shows, standing ovations. Glenn and the guys have found complete pandemonium at some of the shows they gave. Sounds all promising for the rest of the year to come!"
