MARTY FRIEDMAN-Penned Track Debuts On Japanese Singles Charts At #18

Japanese pop superstar KOTOKO'S new song, 'Kirei Na Senritsu” made it's debut at #18 on the Japanese national pop chart this week. MARTY FRIEDMAN (ex-MEGADETH) wrote the song for Kotoko and also played guitar on the tune, which is the ending theme for the upcoming DVD Maria Sama Ga Miteru.

As previously reported, Friedman's first solo tour of Europe begins in April. He will be recording shows for a future live album. In his band are Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER/SPASTIC INK) on guitar, Jeremy Colson on drums and Chris Catero on bass. Dates are as follows:

Friedman is touring in support of new solo album, Loudspeaker, which is out in Japan and Europe. The album features guest appearances by STEVE VAI, John Petrucci (DREAM THEATER), and Billy Sheehan (DAVID LEE ROTH, MR. BIG, TALAS). Loudspeaker will be released by Shrapnel Records on March 13th.
