The OZZFest 2007 US MySpace fan page Forum has been updated to include the following message from LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler, originally issued via the band's fan club, the Congregation:

"Sitting in my hotel room on a day off in Montreal. What a lame rock star thing to say. Let’s start again. Last night we played Guelph, Ontario. Possibly the hottest show we have ever played. They oversold and overpacked the venue and even though it was 10 degrees outside, it had to be 110 in the club. It seriously felt like a sauna. Everyone was drenched in sweat – headbanger soup. While disgusting, it was awesome at the same time. So much energy and aggression, I love that shit. I fell off my drums at the end of the set – I gave it my all and that felt great.

Every night on this tour has been awesome. Every show but one has sold out, Mondays and Friday’s alike. We are amazed every night. Very lucky bunch of guys we are to have such dedicated fans.

One show that sticks out is the one in Milwaukee. We played a place called the Eagles Ballroom. Really cool old building. We first played there in 1998 at the Milwaukee Metalfest. If you don’t know the place, it’s about 6 floors plus a few basement levels. Each floor has a different club, or stage. Some floors have 2 stages. There’s even a bowling alley in the basement they turned into a club and stage. Anyway, the point is that since 1998 (Milwaukee Metalfest) we have played every stage in the building. In ’98 it was the smallest one, the Rave Bar stage and after that show I went upstairs to the ballroom stage (the biggest one in the building) and watched KING DIAMOND headline the festival. Very cool. Anyway – since then, we have moved up and up, each time a bigger stage. The last 2 times we got to play the big stage but we were with SLAYER, and then MEGADETH as support. It was hard to gauge how many people were there for us or them, or both. This was our first time through headlining the big room, it was time to find out how we would do. Crazy thing happened. More people came to the show than came to either of the Slayer or the Megadeth shows. I was blown away. I’m not intending to brag, that’s just one of the things I will always remember.

We started in Dallas and that place was pretty big. It was the first show we had played in 2007 and I was very nervous. When I stepped up on the riser as the intro ran I had to take a couple of deep breaths – I was really freaked out. I’m not sure if the guys get nervous, but I do. I still warm up for hours before each show hoping for the perfect show. I’ll let you know if it happens!

I’ve had a great time with the guys on the tour as well. I’ve been pretty vocal about my support for GOJIRA so I don’t need to go into that, but I will say that I snuck out to the mixing board the other night and watched their set. Hypnotizing. So damn good. MACHINE HEAD is killing it as well. Those guys are awesome. I’ve become quick friends with Phil, we went and saw the movie Zodiac today. Pretty good. Haven’t spent too much time with the TRIVIUM dudes, so no report there - other than Matt’s pretty dreamy!!! :)

This tour is amazing. I am having a great time. We’ve gotten to meet a bunch of cool folks – even had a bunch of Congregation members come and sing with us during soundcheck. What I was hoping for out of this tour is exactly what we got. Intense, brutal metal shows and back to catching up with our friends and fans. There are few things better than a kick ass metal show, I remember every one I have ever been to, and we are doing everything we can to make sure that if you make it out, you wont regret or forget it.

I hope to see you all soon.

P.S. In a few days we will release what we are doing this summer (OZZFest). Shhhh!!!!"
