Sirius' Hard Attack radio program Roots Bloody Roots, hosted by Sound Of The Beast author Ian Christe, is airing the "Bloody Roots Of DIO-Era BLACK SABBATH" on April 10th at 9PM). A show preview states: "After all else falls, there is always Black Sabbath. This week Bloody Roots bows down in honor of the elder statesmen of heavy metal. Currently touring as Heaven and Hell, the “mk II” line-up of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinnie Appice joined us immediately after their triumphant performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Hear first hand accounts of the difficult creation of Heaven And Hell and Mob Rules albums, plus comical accounts of Tony Iommi's practical jokes, and decades of perspective on the heavy metal phenomenon. Host Ian Christe guides the heaviest quartet on Earth with an iron hand, and plays raw tracks from their earliest days to shake the stories loose. Know your roots!"

Rebroadcast: Friday, April 13th at 3 pm ET and Sunday, April 15 at 12 pm ET.

Bloody Roots features a different topic each week relating to the history of metal. For more info head to this location.
