Singapore based metallers RUDRA (www.rudraonline.org, www.myspace.com/vedicmetal) have issued the following press release:

Trinity Records proudly announces the signing of Singapore's Vedic metal band Rudra, pioneers in experimenting Indian classical music melodies in Extreme Metal.

The band and label have negotiated a contract for six albums; the first release on Trinity Records from Rudra will be their 4th album: the first part of a trilogy Brahmavidya: Primordial I, originally released in 2005, to be completed by 2007.

Currently the band is writing material for the next albums which shall be the 2nd and 3rd instalment of the Trilogy planned for release in early 2008. The band will be entering Blackisle Studios again with Joshua Nair and Sean Loo in the producer's chairs in July 2007.

Other Rudra albums to be re-released on Trinity Records 2007/2008:

* The re-recorded Kurukshetra, Rudra'S 3rd album, to give it a new lease of life and has been out of print for a long time.

* Rudra's first album, Rudra, which was first released in 1998 on Candlelight.

* The Aryan Crusade, the second album that won them attention from all parts of the world in 2001.

"Rudra is the name of an ancient Indian God of Destruction. The band is specifically named after this God to symbolize the aggressive character of its music."
