MetalSymphony.com recently caught up with ECHOES OF ETERNITY's vocalist Francine Boucher to discuss the band's debut album, The Forgotten Goddess, and their upcoming tour with SYMPHONY X. The following is a brief excerpt:

M.S: A debut album always is a little experimental. Now, after some time, what things do you consider are the most remarkable of The Forgotten Goddess and what things would you possibly change on the album today?

Boucher: "I think it captures well the essence of the songs and the emotions and moods we were trying to convey. As it was our first album, I think it came out pretty good, and yes there are a few things I'd like to change but I think most artists feel that way about their work; there's always something they think they could do better. It's a good learning experience and I think we will use this knowledge wisely for our next album. I'd like to get even more experimental with our next record."

M.S: I guess you have learned many things: the people, the shows. But, in what way has it varied your point of view since you started?

Boucher: "As we are a new band we still have many things to learn such as being careful who you trust and learning the business aspects. At first it costs money to be in a band and I have a feeling we'll be broke and in debt for a while, which is fine because it's really what we want to do and as long as we have enough money to eat and survive it's all good!"
