Rocklahoma Festival Update: Two Of Three Unsigned Band Main Stage Spots Filled Via Contest

The Rocklahoma festival will be held July 12th - 15th, at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, OK, just off highway 69.

Organizers have issued the following update:

"Two of the three main stage spots open to unsigned bands to play July's Rocklahoma festival have been filled. After close online voting, Los Angeles band DIRTY PENNY won the Friday, July 13th slot while Oklahoma natives DOWN FOR FIVE took the Saturday, July 14th slot.

One main stage spot is still open and voting opens on Wednesday, June 27th and closes on July 6th. The Sunday, June 15th slot is up for grabs. Big vote getters from the first two contests, RHINO BUCKET, BIG COCK and DAVID SHAW & THE ROUND TRIP, are expected to be the favorites when the contest begins. Online voting is free and open to anyone by registering at www.jpotmusic.com. Once the contest opens, registered voters can log on and rate each competitor's songs on a traditional 1 - 10 scale. Over 20,000 votes were cast in the first contests and more of the same is expected for the Sunday competition.

The Rock Fever Fest, dubbed Rocklahoma, will take place July 12th - 15th near Pryor, Okalahoma and will feature over 25 bands from hair meyal past and present including POISON, DOKKEN, QUEENSRYCHE, VINCE NEIL, TWISTED SISTER, GREAT WHITE and ENUFF Z'NUFF.

Thousands are expected to attend.
