The World Series Of Video Games (WSVG), presented by Intel, held it's second event on it's Guitar Hero II competitive circuit this past weekend in Dallas, Texas.

Newcomer to the circuit and Internet superstar Freddie Wong erupted the crowd and won the finals with an amazing performance of RUSH's 'YYZ'. He earned 27 points from the guest judges which included illustrious MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman VINCE NEIL, who judged on style and stage performance. Wong barely edged out Michael "Priest" Holmes who earned 26 points performing the hardest song in the game, BUCKETHEAD's 'Jordan'.

Wong earned $2,625 for his winning performance while Holmes gained $1,500 for his effort. The top two placers at the inaugural event of the season in Louisville placed third and fourth in Dallas, with Nikolai "Kov" Shish taking home $1,050 and David "WuLFe" Briers earning $600. All four contestants will gain $1,000 in travel money for the next stop on the circuit at the E For All event in Los Angeles, California.

Video of Wong's performance can be found at AmpedeSports.com. Video of Holmes' performance can be found on YouTube.

"I didn't know you could actually play that good", an impressed Vince Neil comments on camera after Wong was named champion. "I've seen people mess around with it [Guitar Hero] before, but nothing like that."
