Birmingham, Alabama-based act MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER's video for the song 'Dry the River' will make its MTV2 premiere this Saturday (July 14th) edition of the Headbangers Ball.

The conceptual video, a live action recreation of the artwork from the band's new album, Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster: II was helmed by director Andrew Paul Bowser and tells the story of "the last night for a gang of criminals" (as portrayed by the members of the band) whose lucky streak has finally come to an end. 'Dry The River' was filmed at the wondrous Sanna Ranch in Agua Dulce, California which has previously served as the film location for the motion pictures Bones and Prime Evil.

As previously reported, vocalist Dallas Taylor had this to say about the making of the video: "To me it feels like watching a short film and I don't think it could have turned out any better - I am so proud of it. The experience was like being a part of something more that just a music video. We put ourselves through a lot of difficult things, like standing in 40 degree water for an extended periods of time, falling down hills and being dragged over rocks. I believe that all of the hard work we put in, coupled with the vision of director Andrew Bowser will ensure that this video comes across as more of an 'experience' for the viewer."

In other news, catch Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster on the road in the U.S. with HE IS LEGEND in June/July and on the Warped Tour in August.
