German guitarist AXEL RUDI PELL's site has been updated with the following:

The three remaining dates (Heidelberg, London and Zürich) of the 2nd leg of the Mystica tour has been canceled.

"We had different reasons for it", Axel explains, "first it wouldn't make sense to fly (singer) Johnny (Gioeli) over for just three dates and we couldn't play other cities with the same Mystica program again. The other main points are, that I'm recently doing promotion for the Diamonds Unlocked cover album and working simultaniously on a probable DVD release. Also I'm already working on a few ideas for the next studio album, which we will record sometime in the spring next year. I will fully concentrate on the song writing only from October on till next year.

We will definately play some big festivals in Europe again next year and it is planned to have the next real bigger tour in the fall of 2008, so I hope that you understand the situation.

And here's the third song off Diamonds Unlocked, called 'Stone'. I first heard that track the very first time when listening to one of my favorite singers PAUL RODGERS' side project called THE LAW back in 1991. So it wasn't the original version from CHRIS REA who inspired me to cover this great song."

Listen to 'Stone' here.

Pell is scheduled to release Diamonds Unlocked on October 1st, 2007 (Germany: September 28th, USA TBA), his first album consisting exclusively of compositions by other musicians, proving his expertise when it comes to the history of rock and pop music.

Tracklisting: 'The Diamond Overture', 'Warrior' (RIOT)', 'Beautiful Day' (U2), 'Stone' (CHRIS REA, THE LAW), 'Love Gun' (KISS), 'Fools Game' (MICHAEL BOLTON), 'Heartbreaker' (FREE), 'Rock The Nation' (MONTROSE), 'In The Air Tonight' (PHIL COLLINS), 'Like A Child Again' (THE MISSION), 'Won´t Get Fooled Again' (THE WHO).
