Maryland-based metallers CLUTCH have announced a string of Australian live dates. A press release follows:

"The mighty Clutch are back ….

It took them ten years to make the trip down under, the first tour in 2006 sold out, they fell in love with Australia and returned in May 2007 for a national tour to launch their new LP From Beale Street to Oblivion, the whole tour sold out. In December 2007, Maryland’s favorite sons will return to headline the Meredith Music Festival and play two special shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

An Evening with Clutch is a Gear Heads ultimate fantasy. Beginning with a set from the jazz filled side project of Clutch members sans Neil Fallon, THE BAKERTON GROUP, who will be familiar to any true blue Clutch fan, and moving to two sets from Clutch, for a night of Clutch…Clutch…and well…more Clutch.

Since leaving our shores, the bands have recorded a new track, King Of Arizona, for Jackass regular Bam Margera’s Viva La Bands compilation album, and made their first appearance alongside The Police and Tool at the 2007 Bonnaroo Festival.

Clutch will arrive in Australia fresh of the back of a mammoth American tour with New York prog rockers Coheed and Cambria. Neil, Tim, Dan, JP and Mick will be once again packing harmonica extraordinaire Eric Oblander into the road cases …ready to serve up an early Christmas present for Aussie Clutch fans."

An Evening With Clutch - Opening set by The Bakerton Group dates:

December

13 - The Hi Fi - Melbourne, Australia
14 - Meredith Music Festival - Meredith, Australia
15 - The Metro - Sydney, Australia
