AMANDA SOMERVILLE - New Interview Available

A new interview with Amanda Somerville - known in metal circles for her work with EPICA, AFTER FOREVER and EDGUY as a backing vocalist, vocal coach and collaborator - is now online. The following is an excerpt from the story, where she discusses her plans for a tour and her HDK project with After Forever guitarist Sander Gommans:
“I don’t want to give too much details away as not everything is confirmed, but you’ll be able to see me anywhere in the world. Hopefully my new album, Windows, will be out by then. It’s been finished for a while already, but I’m still looking for label options. If this was to be a metal release, it probably wouldn’t be such a problem to find a suitable party, but it ain’t; it’s a singer/songwriter kind of thing which is a bit harder to sell. But I’m keeping the faith. In the meantime I can look forward to the release of the third AVANTASIA album for which I contributed a thing or two, and the HDK project I did together with Sander Gommans. My parts were finished a while ago and we had a ball doing it. The music is technically considered thrash metal with some elements of emo and rap. And although I gave it a shot, I won’t be doing the rap parts on the album; they were done by the singer of a band called EYEWITNESS. But I did do some screaming and grunts.
