UK black metallers PRIMITIVE GRAVEN IMAGE have issued the following update:
"Primitive Graven Image supports great black metal that invokes the black metal feeling through the sound of music. That is what black metal is. Nothing more, nothing less.I'm not sure how many people have seen it, but there is a MySpace bulletin going around badmouthing our label Open Grave Records and labelling them 'enemies of black metal' because they happen to release albums by a few Christian bands.
People; music is music. Its either good, or it is not good, but it is the music that should shine through. All this bullshit war against Christianity shit needs to stop. Yes, of course there are a lot of close minded crazy Christians, but you get extremists in every group. So this is a message to close minded crazy 'black metallers'.
I say again - Primitive Graven Image supports great black metal that invokes the black metal feeling through the sound of music. That is what black metal is. Nothing more, nothing less."
As previously reported, Primitive Graven Image will play their first headling gig will be on Friday, Febuary 22nd at BarMonsta in Camden, London. Other bands on the bill include BRAINCHOKE, HYPERION and ICENI.
