Fender.com has issued the following recap of this year's Musikmesse, held in Frankfurt, Germany last weekend:
"Alles Gute! The sounds of Fender reverberate from Musikmesse Frankfurt, the massive international musical instrument industry trade show held each year in Frankfurt, Germany.This year’s show, held March 12-15 at the city’s vast Festhalle, was a spectacular success for Fender, with thousands of eager guests attending Fender Frontline Live clinics at Fender’s exclusive hotspot and a special free concert performance by Swedish Stratocaster® guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen and his band, Rising Force. Malmsteen also presented four Frontline Live clinics at the Fender booth and obliged excited fans with not one but four autograph-signing sessions.
Another great Frontline Live performance featured fleet-fingered Fender clinician Greg Koch with a surprise guest, bassist extraordinaire and Fender signature artist Stu Hamm.
Fender’s presence at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2008 also included a dazzling display of guitars, basses, amps and accessories and was highlighted by more than 120 guitars from the world-famous Fender Custom Shop, every prized one of which was claimed by the many international buyers present in less than eight hours!"
