According to Ecommwire.com, last night at 9:00 pm marked the end of the auction run for the initial seats of Hard Rock Park’s LED ZEPPELIN coaster experience. As of the evening of April 7th, it has been confirmed that over $5000 was paid for the privilege of being the first to ride.

Due to the initial fundraising success, Hard Rock Park has agreed to auction the last row on this inaugural ride for charity. Proceeds will go to Rock My World Children’s charity that will provide once-in-a-lifetime cost-free experience for young people to visit "The World’s First Rock 'n' Roll Theme Park".

Considered by coaster enthusiasts to be the seats that offer the best thrill for the money, the last row of the roller coaster will be auctioned beginning at 9:00p.m ET tonight.

Bidders can bid on the auction at www.auctionwire.com/hardrockpark.

Led Zeppelin – The Ride, named by Jimmy Page, will also feature the Zeppelin smash-hit 'Whole Lotta Love' which was selected for the ride by Jimmy himself. The bands hit will be pumped out on the coasters powerful 64 speakers, generating 1200 watts of music as the coaster hurtles the screaming rider down its ¾ mile long track at speeds hitting 65 mph.

The ride itself features 6 inversions and reaches an apex of a 155 foot climb and descent, before riders are taken through a 120 foot tall loop, a 95 foot tall cobra roll, and even experience weightlessness in a 75 foot zero G roll. The ride traverses a large part of Hard Rock Park, in places taking riders racing over the water. The designers also pushed the envelope by making the coaster as tall as the Federal Aviation Administration will allow in the country.
