Buckshot of Woozyfly's show called Buckshots Bonanza recently conducted an interview with MESHUGGAH's guitarist Marten Hagstrom before the bands performance at Irving Plaza in New York City. They discussed Meshuggah's current success, what was the thinking and process of writing the new record, the MINISTRY tour and other interesting topics of metal and hockey.

Meshuggah recently just finished the U.S. leg of Ministry's final world tour - C U LaTouR - which kicked off March 25 in Spokane, Washington and concluded this past Sunday (May 11) in Chicago, Illinois. The trek also featured special guest and opening act HEMLOCK.
'Bleed' comes off Meshuggah's latest album, obZen, which sold 11,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 59 on The Billboard 200 chart. This is substantially more than the 7,000 first-week total achieved by its predecessor, Catch 33, which landed at No. 170 on The Billboard 200 chart back in June 2005.
