Manchester’s WINTERFYLLETH have completed the recording of their debut album The Ghost Of Heritage.

Comprised of members culled from the UK’s most devastating doom contingent ATAVIST and likeminded UK comrades WODENSTHRONE, the band have set a solidified mission statement to bring awareness of England’s historical roots through their folk-influenced vitriolic black metal.

Coining the term English Heritage Black Metal (EHBM), Winterfylleth (which translates into Winter Full Moon in the olde English language) represents the month of October (hence the coinciding release date) and also represents the Anglo-Saxon festival of the arrival of winter.

The Ghost Of Heritage - mastered by Colin Marston (BEHOLD… THE ARCTOPUS, KRALLICE, DYSRHYTHMIA) - features the following tracklisting for The Ghost Of Heritage goes as follows: 'Mam Tor (The Shivering Mountain)', 'The March To Maldon', 'Brithnoth: The Battle Of Maldon (991 AD)', 'Forging The Iron Of England', 'The Ghost Of Heritage', 'Defending The Realm', 'Guardian Of The Herd', 'Casting The Runes', 'An Englishman's Verse'

An MP3 of the track ‘Forging The Iron Of England’ can be heard here.

Winterfylleth are: Chris Naughton (guitar/bass/backing vocals), Simon Lucas (drums/backing vocals), Richard Brass (vocals/guitar/backing vocals).

Look for ‘The Ghost Of Heritage’ to be released mid-October via Profound Lore Records.
