Yorkshire-based black metallers SEVERED HEAVEN are the latest addition to the lineup for this year’s Valkyrian Festival – they’re also the heaviest band on the bill so far.

Formed in 2007, the five piece black metal band, which features MY DYING BRIDE bassist Lena Abe on rhythm guitar, combine the finest elements of black and death metal to create a powerful and passionate sound which is lacking in today’s male-dominated metal scene.

Having shared the stage with the likes of GORGOROTH, GALLHAMMER, HECATE ENTHRONED and more in the past, Severed Heaven are more than capable of bringing terror supreme at each show they play. With the follow-up to Incessant Darkness currently in the works, Severed Heaven will no doubt leave a trail of blood, guts and destruction at this year’s Valkyrian Festival.

Valkyrian Festival 2013 is in aid of RapeCrisis and will take place at Shades Nightclub in Bridlington, East Yorkshire between November 29th and December 1st. Weekend tickets are available online at this location for the low price of £5 and anyone who orders tickets before August 31st will be entered into an exclusive raffle draw.

The festival now consists of 15 bands with more to be added. Confirmed acts include: ALICE IN THUNDERLAND, AONIA, DAKESIS, DEAD MAN’S CONSPIRACY, EDENFALL, INNERSYLUM, MAELSTROM NARCOTIC DEATH, NYA, OLD CORPSE ROAD, POWERCAKE, RAVENAGE, SEVERED HEAVEN, SPEKULUS, STORM OF EMBERS, TERRA OMNIAAND, XIII.
