Author/Musician JOEL GAUSTEN To Return To The Stage With PIGFACE For 25th Anniversary Show In Chicago

Writer, journalist and musician Joel Gausten has checked in with the following update:

"Time to dust off the drumsticks. I’m very happy to announce that I’ll once again be making some guest noise with the mighty Pigface, this time at the House Of Blues in Chicago on Black Friday at a show celebrating the group’s 25th anniversary, with special guests Ruby and Dead Voices On Air.

It’s been 15 years since I last banged away on stage amidst this beautiful chaos, and I can’t wait to do it again. Love and thanks to Martin for bringing back the beast – and the beats!

The very cool ticket/merch package referenced in the photo below is available at this location."

Pigface is an industrial music collective conceived during Ministry ‘s 1989-1990 The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste tour, Martin Atkins along with then-Ministry drummer Bill Rieflin , came up with the idea. For each Pigface album, Atkins would assemble a new lineup reflecting the anarchistic ideals of the original punk rock bands of the mid70s.

Since its inception, Pigface has included over 300 musicians such as Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Ogre (Skinny Puppy), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Michael Gira (Swans), LoLo, Shonen Knife, Alex Patterson (Orb), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Paul Raven (Killing Joke), Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks), Curse Mackey, Andrew Weiss, Chris Haskett (Rollins Band) and many, many more.
