BULLET Go Acoustic! Annual Powerless Gig This Weekend

Once a year Bullet, the traditional metal-minded Swedes, opt for an acoustic gig. This year, it will be the biggest one yet, taking place at their hometown Växjö Theatre, on October 23rd. "It's not every day you get to see us play at the theater in Växjö," says guitarist Hampus Klang. "It's fun to do something different. I think it will be real magical."

According to Lokaltidningen Växjö, Bullet will be interpreting old, Swedish ‘70s, prog rock classics, in a calmer environment than they are used to playing. September 12th, the band did a similar gig, at the Alvesta Folkfest, although for the fast approaching date, the guitarist admits, "We have not really decided on all the instruments yet and we need to cut down the song list a bit. Our singer Dan Hofer is a major Cornelis (Vreeswijk) fan and became very sour that he could not play him in the movie."

Next month, the regular incarnation of Bullet will return to Germany, as part of the two-day, 25 band Metal Hammer Paradise festival, alongside Opeth, Helloween, At The Gates and Destruction, amongst others.
