Canadian Power Metallers SHOCK Announce New Album; “Sonic Assault” Lyric Video Streaming

Canadian power metal band, Shock, will release the follow-up to their 2013 debut album, Once Denied. Titled Forewarned, it will be released on Friday, November 13th, and is available for pre-order here.
The band has also released a new lyric video for the first song released from Forewarned, titled “Sonic Assault”, a song that comes from the band's history dating back to the mid 80's when they were openers for such metal heavyweights as Megadeth, Anthrax, Motorhead, Saxon, and Metal Church among many others. The song is a straight forward 80's era vintage thrash metal song and is a great introduction to the new album which dives deeper into the band's even heavier and more complex songs. Production was once again handled by Mike Bond and Shock.
Bassist Steve Monette states: "The first album was very much a representation of who the band was from back in the 80's, while Forewarned really bridges the gap from then till now, at the same time still staying true to our thrash metal roots”, adding, "The band wasn't willing to change our music to suit the flavour of the day when the 90's hit and that ultimately was what contributed to our demise - so all this time later we certainly aren't about to do anything other than what we feel truly represents our vision for the band's sound.”
