German melodic death metallers DEADLOCK check in with the following band lineup news:

"Our former bass player. Ferdinand (Rewicki) will continue as second guitarist to replace Gert, who left the group in early 2013 for family reasons."

Ferdinand's statement: "It's been 4 years now, since I joined the Deadlock family. I started as the merch guy, did the Tour-Management and took over bass, when John hooked up with the mic... so it was just the logical step, to fill the vacant guitar slot. Recording with Basti is always a huge challenge for every musician, but we had a great time while writing The Arsonist. I already like my new job and I'm glad to know, that everybody else in the band is happy with the solution we found."

Deadlock will release their new album, The Arsonist, on July 26th via Napalm Records.

Besides guitarist Sebastian Reichl, Benny Richter (CALIBAN, MOONSPELL) took his place behind the mixing console. The pounding fundament of the drums was laid down at the Chemical Burn Studios with Alexander Dietz (HEAVEN SHALL BURN) at the helm. Eike Fresse (CALLEJON, OOMPH!, GAMMA RAY) mixed the new songs at the Hammer Studios in Hamburg. Finishing and mastering touches were provided by Olman Viper (Caliban, EMIL BULLS, ZSK) at the Hertzwerk Studios. The remarkable artwork was created by Niklas Sundin (DARK TRANQUILITY).
