DEATH ANGEL To Replace D.R.I. At Heavy Montréal 2014

The organizers of Heavy Montréal 2014 have checked in with the following update:

"We're sorry to announce that due to a scheduling conflict, D.R.I won't be at Heavy Montreal this year. We think it sucks too. They have been replaced by Death Angel, who will play on Sunday."

Heavy Montréal 2014 will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau on August 9th and 10th. Confirmed acts include Slayer, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Apocalyptica, Death Angel, Exodus, Symphony X, Overkill, Twisted Sister, Nashville Pussy, Voivod and more.

As previously reported, Metallica's By Request show will headline both nights at Heavy Montréal 2014. Every ticket holder will be able to send their request to the band's website with code provided to them following their purchase.

A fourth stage will be added this year in order to showcase more artists, including many local bands, and to maximize the festival experience for the fans. And, after a ton of success last year, the Heavy Maniawrestlers will return to Heavy Montréal this summer. More details will be announced about this in the next few months. New this year: Gold Weekend Pass holders will have access to the Heavy Montréal terrace, a multi-level platform offering a premium view of the two main stages, with access to private washrooms and exclusive food and beverage stands.
