This special piece of vision was broadcast in Australia in May 1971, finding Deep Purple in Devon UK, locked away in an old country villa writing the Fireball album. The band’s fifth album was released in September and featured the following line-up:
Ian Gillan – lead vocals
Ritchie Blackmore – rhythm and lead guitars
Jon Lord – keyboards, Hammond organ
Roger Glover – bass guitar
Ian Paice – drums
