DEEP PURPLE - On The Wings Of A Russian Foxbat Reissue Due In February

According to the DEEP PURPLE Appreciation Society, Deep Purple's On The Wings Of A Russian Foxbat bootleg, issued officially on CD back in 1995, is now being totally remastered from the original half inch tapes. It is generally regarded as one of the best Mk 4 (Glenn Hughes, Jon Lord, David Coverdale, Ian Paice, Tommy Bolin) concerts, with some great performances and over half the Come Taste The Band album tracks included. The two bonus tracks from the original are retained but properly positioned at the end of side two so they do not spoil the running order.
It will appear first on the Sonic Zoom label in a limited edition digipak with a faithful reproduction of the old bootleg sleeve and a booklet. Expected February 2009, a regular jewel case version in a different cover should follow later in the year.
