DEVIN TOWNSEND Endorses Fan's Acoustic Cover Of STRAPPING YOUNG LAD's "Almost Again"; Video Available

Originally posted in 2013 by Dread Fugitive Mind, the clip below featuring a fan's acoustic cover of Strapping Young Lad's song "Almost Again" - taken from their album The New Black - has been endorsed and shared by Townsend via his official Facebook page.

"This deserves a few more views for sure..."

The cover is a VideoSong, a medium with two rules:

- What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).

- If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

The clip below features a remixed version of "By Your Command" by Devin Townsend - taken from the new Devin Townsend Project album Z² - using his personally designed guitar tones from the Metal Guitar Gods EZmix Pack for EZmix 2, EZdrummer 2 and the Made of Metal EZX. Devin retracked his guitars and recorded them direct in (DI).

In September 2014, Devin Townsend announced a special show at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London, England on April 13th, 2015 showcasing his new Z² album. Townsend issued a statement regarding the show stating that it will be "basically what we did with The Retinal Circus a few years back will be taken to the next level with Z² live." He has now issued a video update on his plans for the show:

The Devin Townsend Project kicked off their co-headlining North American tour with Animals As Leaders on November 17th, 2014 at Studio Seven in Seattle, WA. Fan-filmed video of the band performing the new Z² title track and "March Of The Poozers" live for the first time ever can be viewed below.

Previously released footage of "Midnight Sun" and "Rejoice" is also available.
