Devin Townsend Project drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has checked in with the following update:

"A new year, with new DTP tours means new RVP drumcams. Finished my first one of 2015. This is the new song 'Ziltoidian Empire' off of the new Z2 double album Dark Matters. A fun progressive song that has lots of odd time signatures, double bass beats and fun fills! This was shot in Los Angeles and taken off of the Abstract Reality Tour which we co-headlined with Animals As Leaders and had Monuments opening each night. Great times, good memories. Hope you dig it...."

The second track on the Devin Townsend Project's new album Z², entitled "Fallout" (from Disc 1, Sky Blue) features lead vocals by Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), who has previously appeared on DTP's Epicloud and Addicted records. The original mix of "Fallout" featuring Townsend singing lead - never officially released - can be heard below along with the final album version:

Devin Townsend Project's Z² is out now worldwide and the band are currently on tour in the US with Animals As Leaders and Periphery. Now Devin reveal a brand new lyric video for the track “March Of The Poozers” taken from the Dark Matters side of the album.

Devin checks in with this: "Hey all, Dev here...closing out the North American tour and a heck of a year.  I released 4 albums this year, if you count the bonus disc of Casualties, went through the crazy Pledge process (still going through it) and it was generally a hectic time. I feel like I'm at the end of a creative cycle... The Z2 project beat me up in a way I wasn't expecting, but when all was said and done, I'm very proud of it. It's an accurate description of a really stressful period, but I didn't sell out, and I saw it through. Thanks to all of you who continue to support. My mind is full of music again, as it always is, but I'm trying to absorb some of the lessons that came with the over scheduling and chaos of this last period, and I look forward to getting my process back on track. Again, I'm constantly shocked by the fact I get to do this for a living. Thank you. Here's another track from
