Brooklyn Militia, the new thrash/hardcore/punk/metal band featuring former drummer Joe Cangelosi (Whiplash, Kreator), vocalist Glenn Hansen (Whiplash) and bassist Richard Day (Primal Scfream, Whiplash) has just released 2 brand new songs to the public which shows a little sample of what this veteran band is capable of. The songs are "Hole in Head" and "Clothesline" which feature the band showing its more punk hardcore element.

Says Cangelosi: "I'm very excited to get this band off the ground; it only took three years! With so many ups and downs, people flaking, lineup changes and overall dysfunction. we finally have a complete lineup and we are gearing up to play our debut show to open up the flood gate to the future of Brooklyn Militia. I want to thank everyone for their support and patience. Brooklyn Militia should not be mistaken for just a typical punk /hardcore crossover band because this bands history is deep rooted within the beginnings of thrash metal and beyond so there a wealth of killer metal songs that we have in our repertoire. I'm very excited to get this band off the ground; it only took three years hahaha. The music is described as a mixture of heavy, blazing, aggressive thrash metal with the attitude and power of punk and hardcore.

The band is currently writing and demoing more material at Mozart studios N.J. for its debut album, tentatively due in late 2014 via an as-yet-undetermined record label.
