MAXXXWELL CARLISLE is perhaps one of the most straightforward and talkative interviews WVOX.com's Metal Mayhem host Matt O'Shaughnessy has conducted. Hailing from Los Angeles, Carlisle has, over the past couple of years, unveiled four extremely high-energy solo guitar crushing releases coupled with many live shows throughout the United States. His music, as Maxxxwell states is truly a "headbanging celebration of heavy metal." Citing influences ranging from YNGWIE MAMLSTEEN, TONY MACALPINE, CHRIS IMPELLITERRI, PAUL GILBERT, JASON BECKER, his sound is a hybrid of neoclassical and punishing shred guitar. His latest metal mission comes in the form of the EP Full Metal Thunder which saw the light of day in 2013 with an even more recent album Visions Of Speed And Thunder, featuring several guest appearances.

Maxxxwell Carlisle also joined famed Los Angeles metallers HELLION in 2013 who will release their To Hellion And Back anthology album and tour in the spring to support the disc. Carlisle has also torn it up collaborating with NEIL TURBIN (ANTHRAX) NITA STRAUSS (THE IRON MAIDENS and FEMME FATALE) SIMON WRIGHT (DIO, AC/DC) and more. Maxxxwell guested on Metal Mayhem in New York on WVOX where he discussed his various solo releases, early childhood days and first picking up a guitar, Hellion, and much more.
