Nashville's MapleStar Music & Media has announced the signing of acclaimed rock photographer, NICK ELLIOTT.

“We’re thrilled to have Nick join our roster of clients,” smiles MapleStar Music & Media’s Director Cameron Tilbury. “Nick has carved out an enviable reputation for producing powerful iconic pieces of photographic art in his own inimitable avant-garde style. He’s shot everyone from ALICE COOPER to ZZ TOP - and a number of my favorite bands are on that list! I’ve been a huge fan of his work for many years.”

Working in the music industry for over 20 years, Nick has photographed some of the most well known musical artists in the music business—and not just rock. He’s also photographed artists like EMMYLOU HARRIS, BETH NIELSON CHAPMAN, and the QUEBE SISTERS BAND. Rock, pop, Americana, blues… it has all been seen through the lens of Nick Elliott; and his images have frequently been featured on album artwork as well as being published extensively across the media.

His genius in the studio is only surpassed by his ability to capture the intensity of the live musical performance and Nick is driven by an incredible passion and the desire to create stunning images of the musical artists who have been his inspiration.

So why Nashville? “Nashville is one of the most ‘happening’ cities in the world,” says Nick Elliott, from his home in East England. I was invited to take my personal rock n roll style to Nashville a couple of years ago and introduce this to the growing Country market. There are so many great bands of all music genres there, and I enjoy working in Nashville immensely.“

“Many Country artists are filling arenas and stadiums. We want to capture that in a new and unique way, and I’m very much looking forward to working with Cameron and his team.”

Currently working on a series of rock books, in spring 2011 Nick released an official, limited edition book of the last decade of the Cambridge Folk Festival, featuring fine art images of artists performing at the famous festival over the years.
