IDOLATRY – Brandon Show Canceled Due To Tour Accident; Crowdfunding Campaign Launched To Assist

Edmonton’s own Idolatry was involved in a car accident on May 28 on Highway 17 East of Wawa, Ontario. While travelling down a gravel road their vehicle veered off the road and into the ditch. Lord Matzigkeitus (vocals) sustained some cracked ribs during the accident, but no other members were severely hurt. The black metal group has been on tour performing in Quebec, Ontario, and was on route to their show May 29 show in Brandon, MB, which would have been their last date of the tour and has now been cancelled. The band apologizes to fans who were hoping to see them perform.

Idolatry has launched a crowdfunding campaign through GoFundMe.com to raise money for vehicle repairs and fuel to return to Edmonton.

The band comments: “Our band Idolatry went out east for our first Canadian tour and right before our last show had a vehicle accident.  We are all fine, bruised but fine. Unfortunately, we have to cancel the remainder of the tour and need your help to make it back to Edmonton, Alberta. If you can make a donation we would be incredibly grateful.”

Idolatry has a goal of $350 CND and hopes fans and friends will donate so they can make arrangements to make it back to Edmonton.
