According to his Twitter page, Italian singer and TV/radio presenter Pino Scotto (VANADIUM, FIRE TRAILS) has plans to enter in studio by the end of the year to record an album of new material, the first since 2000's solo effort Guado and 2005 FIRETRAIL's Third Moon. The new LP would eventually be released in March 2010.

Born 'Giuseppe Scotto Di Carlo', Pino Scotto, 60, has just finished the two and a half year long Datevi Fuoco Tour, to promote the anthology Datevi Fuoco - Lo Scotto da Pagare (Set Yourselves On Fire - The Price To Pay). Released in 2008, the best-of contains re-recorded tracks from Scotto's back catalogue, performed together with special guests, such as components of EXTREMA, LABYRINTH, DOMINE, FIRE TRAILS, STRANA OFFICINA, ARTICOLO 31, LE VIBRAZIONI, and LACUNA COIL. It also contains an authorised Scotto biography, titled Lo Scotto Da Pagare (The Price To Pay).

In October Frontiers / Edel released the live DVD Outlaw - Now 'n Ever. Recorded in April 2009 at the Tartaruga Live Club in Villaguardia, Como, Italy, it's the first live DVD released by Scotto, and it contains extra bonus material (interviews, tv shows, video clips, photo galleries.).

In October Tsunami Edizioni released the book Fottetevi Tutti! La Vita e il Rock di Pino Scotto (Fuck you all! Pino Scotto's Life And Rock), a long interview with the Italian rocker by writer Cristiano Canali, with notes from Cristina Scabbia (LACUNA COIL), Kee Marcello, Morby (DOMINE), Tommy Massara (EXTREMA), Bud Ancillotti (STRANA OFFICINA), Olaf Thorsen, Trevor.

In the recent years, apart from his role as a singer, Scotto started a career as a TV presenter at independent satellite station RockTV, radio presenter at Rocknroll Radio and Fandango Web Radio, and as a writer for Rolling Stone Magazine and InScena Magazine.
