On the latest edition of One On One With Mitch Lafon (episode 155), Mitch is joined by current and former members of Megadeth. Up first is current bassist David Ellefson, who discusses his new project Metal Allegiance with Testament's Alex Skolnick and more. David explains how the project came together, will it become a proper band with core members, and offers an update of Megadeth's future workings. 

In the episode's second interview Mitch has former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland and former drummer Nick Menza on the line at the same time to discuss their new pairing in the group OHM, Gar Samuelson, working on the demo recordings for the Rus In Peace album, their repsective departures from Megadeth and much more. 

David Ellefson on Metal Allegiance: "The spirit of it is incredible. The one song that has a very definitive Megadeth/ David Ellefson bass sound on the Metal Allegiance record is the intro to Scars."

Nick Menza on being replaced in Megadeth: "I got fired over the telephone. Two days after the surgery on my knee, Dave called me up and said 'We're letting you go.' I said, 'You can't fire me dude. It's my band too.' He said, 'No, it's my band and my mind is made up.' And that was the last I talked to him for many years."

Megadeth recently updated their official website to include a countdown clock, counting down to Friday, October 2nd at 1 PM, EST. Head over to the site now to hear an audio snippet of an unidentified track from the band’s upcoming fifteenth studio album, expected in early 2016.

Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine took part in a special online chat at the Megadeth Cyber Army chat room on July 27th. During the chat, he revealed the tracklisting for the upcoming album. The yet-to-be-titled album was produced by Mustaine and Toby Wright (Alice In Chains, Korn).
