Last night (July 12th) during MEGADETH's headline set at the Gigantour stop at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, TX, the band had an all-star jam during the cover of THIN LIZZY's 'Cold Sweat' and were joined by SLASH (ex-GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER), BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Zakk Wylde (ex-OZZY OSBOURNE), Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA, VOIVOD, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM), HELLYEAH's Vinnie Paul (ex-PANTERA) and DEVICE's David Draiman (DISTURBED).

Megadeth drummer and longtime BraveWords bud Shawn Drover has sent us his thoughts on the evening:

""Sometimes, a situation comes up that is so cool, that I have to send my fellow Canadian friends at BraveWords.com an update. We had been talking about having several of this year's Gigantour alumni come up and jam with us to the Thin Lizzy classic, 'Cold Sweat', which is on our latest record, Super Collider. Add a bit of serendipity to the situation - Slash was also on the bill in Dallas last evening, who also knew the tune and was aboard for playing as well, made this proposed jam even more killer!!! So now we have Vinnie Paul on my kit, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Jason Newsted, David Draiman, Sean De La Tour, my Megadeth bandmates and me on guitar!!!!! It's been about six or so years since I did the 'switcher' trick, which is when Glen was in the band (we used to switch instruments for the end of 'Peace Sells' or 'Paranoid' at times). Good thing for me I learned 'Cold Sweat' on guitar way back in 1983 when the song was released, so I was ready to throw down as well. Needless to say, we all had a total blast jamming together, and it sure seemed the crowd enjoyed it as well. These kind of thing's certainly don't happen everyday, but when it does, it definitely puts a smile on my face."
