HALFORD guitarist METAL MIKE CHLASCIAK checks in with an update:

"When I was starting to play the guitar if someone told me that one day I’ll be standing on stage with JUDAS PRIEST's Rob Halford, IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson and QUEENSRŸCHE Geoff Tate, I would tell them they were crazy. But, this exact thing happened one day in the year 2000 at the London Astoria in England. This epic night in heavy metal’s history has truly solidified a belief I have been carried with me ever since – that Musician's Ultimate Prize Is To Play Live. I hope you feel the same way, too.

Check this out... Over the last year plus I have asked many musicians what they wish they could change. Most of them revealed to me that they wish they had access to other players who would be into jamming the same style of music they liked.

So, guess what? With that in mind, I’m giving a chance to few guitarists, singers, vocalists and bassists to attend my new workshop called The Machine Shop where after four rehearsals, all under my supervision, we will storm and rock NJ’s very own Dingbatz Club on December 8th. This live performance will be our crescendo to a month long journey into playing and learning songs by Judas Priest, METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE and others. Am I against writing an original? Definitely not.

I’m dividing all rockers into 2 age groups of 17 and younger & 18 and up. What do you need? Your instrument, an ability to play in an advanced beginner level or better and the love of heavy rock. All the gear for rehearsals and the live show will be provided for you.

The price for the entire workshop (which includes the live show) is $419.00. School Of Rock in Wayne, New Jersey (Located just minutes outside of NYC) will be our host for the rehearsals and we will be rehearsing in their big rehearsal room.

Remember that you do not need to be a pro for this. As a matter of fact, this not for the super experienced musician. You will learn with others while we concentrate on having fun learning songs little by little by your favorite bands. Yes, it is about the fun. And, to boot I have the language, temperament and experience to provide you with exceptional training.

So, are we rocking? If you have questions, or think you are ready to join in on the journey call School Of Rock, Wayne at (973) 653-5432, or you can simply e-mail me right here: MetalMike@MetalMike.net, attn: Machine Shop."
