The following message has been posted at the MNEMIC website:

Dear people of the world, lets break the silence for a moment.

A lot of stuff has happend since we parted ways with (vocalist) Tony (Jelencovich), and the reason for being so silent is mainly because we are busy, really busy and really fuckin' busy.

We are still writing new material, plus at the same time we are still auditioning new singers. We would like to thank all the people who have written to us and still write to us, we really appreciate your concerns and input.

As for the singer situation, lets make it clear once and for all:

When we parted ways with Tony, we asked (former singer) Michael (Bøgballe) not one but five times to come back to us. Michael is never coming back to this band either we like it or not. He is still an exceptionally good friend of Mnemic, but we have to respect his wishes and decisions.

In fact, everybody has moved on by now.

When thats's said, we can assure you that the next singer of Mnemic is going to be just as unique and good as Michael and the line-up will stay untill this band will be dead, buried and rotten.

As far as the new album, we are flying to L.A. at the end of this month, to start pre-production and will be there for a couple of months. We will of course keep everybody up-to-date with an on-line diary which will be launched the day we enter the studio. We actually do have a lot of stuff up our sleeve, that we just cant reveal yet... but its sure exciting and big as hell!

Our touring schedule is going to be busy from October. We are going on a five week (Golden Shower) tour with our swedish homies from SOILWORK, and we are as well very much looking forward to be making new friends with the guys from DARKEST HOUR and THREAT SIGNAL.

Tour dates will be up soon."
