MÖTLEY CRÜE Trek Takes #1 Spot On Hot Tours Ranking

Mötley Crüe takes the #1 slot on the weekly Hot Tours ranking with $5.1 million in sales reported from its Final Tour that wrapped for the year in Spokane, Wash., on November 22nd.

The tour launched on July 2nd with Alice Cooper and the Raskins onboard as special guests for a trek through US and Canadian markets, set primarily in outdoor amphitheaters during the summer and indoor arenas in the fall.

Included in this week's tally are six sold-out concerts at three arenas in Canada and three in the US during the final days of the Crüe's North American jaunt. Rogers Arena in Vancouver leads the pack with a $1 million gross, the highest among the six venues in this report. The concert on November 21st was a sellout attended by 13,025 fans in the western Canadian market. The Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., was the top grosser among the US buildings with sales totaling $860,949 from 14,514 sold seats.

During the Final Tour's 20-week North American run in 2014, major markets Los Angeles and New York City produced the top ticket sales totals. The veteran rock band's July 21st performance at the Hollywood Bowl racked up $1.3 million in sales from a sold out amphitheater crowd of 16,488 to claim the top gross. Second on the list is one of the fall arena dates, a sellout on October 28th at New York’s Madison Square Garden with revenue totaling $1,082,041.
