Original ALICE COOPER Drummer NEAL SMITH Talks Recent Reunion Performance, Possible Tour (Audio)

Neal Smith from the original Alice Cooper Group joins Mitch on Episode 165 of One On One With Mitch Lafon. They discuss the band's stellar history and catalogue, his role in the new adventure movie, Desolation Angels Rise Of The Boas, his current band KillSmith, the recent reunion performances with Alice Cooper (Michael Bruce and Dennis Dunaway) in Texas, working on the Hollywood Vampires album, Glen Sobel, the current Alice Cooper band, Bob Ezrin, his favorite Alice Cooper album, “School's Out” and a lot more.

Quotes from the interview:

Hollywood Vampires: "When we were first asked to do it, we didn't realize it was going to be a full album."

On the reunion performances: "My excitement is just being with Dennis, Mike and Alice.”

On doing a possible reunion tour with Alice: "We're ready to do something. We're never going to do a world tour, but the similar thing that Cream did - I've been advocating."

The remaining members of the Alice Cooper Group recently got back together in Texas for the first time since their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2011. Bassist Dennis Dunaway was at Good Records in Dallas for an October 6th book signing event celebrating his new memoir Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!: My Adventures In The Alice Cooper Group. Guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith were already scheduled to join him, and then Alice Cooper himself arrived in town a day before he was set to play a gig with Mötley Crüe. A rare 8-song set followed. Ryan Roxie, who’s worked with Cooper’s solo band, sat in for the late group guitarist Glen Buxton.

The setlist was as follows:

"Caught In A Dream" (Michael Bruce on vocals)
"Be My Lover"
"I'm Eighteen"
"Is It My Body"
"No More Mr. Nice Guy"
"Under My Wheels"
"School's Out"
"Elected"
