PAUL RODGERS Announces Special Royal Sessions Live Performance In New York City

Iconic vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist PAUL RODGERS (BAD COMPANY, FREE, THE FIRM, QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS), has announced a one-time special show on Thursday, June 19th at New York City’s historic venue, Town Hall. This singular performance will feature Rodgers - along with the all-star Memphis studio musicians that recorded The Royal Sessions at Memphis’ storied Royal Studios - performing a full set of the classic soul and R&B; songs released in February to critical and fan acclaim.

Tickets are available for pre-sale beginning today, Thursday, May 1st with the public on sale beginning at 10 AM, ET on Friday, May 2nd. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at-1-800-745-3000 or at the Town Hall Box Office located at 123 West 43rd Street in New York City. Onstage, he will be accompanied by The Royal Sessions musicians: Reverend Charles Hodges Sr. (Hammond B3), who has played and recorded with AL GREEN, JAMES CARR, WILLIE COBBS, ALBERT COLLINS and BOZ SCAGGS; Leroy Hodges Jr. (bass), who has backed Al Green, ANN PEEBLES and also appeared on albums by RUFUS THOMAS, BOBBY RUSH and CAT POWER; Archie “Hubby” Turner (Wurlitzer), who played with THE IMPALAS, ALBERT KING, and currently tours with CYNDI LAUPER; Michael Toles (guitar), who has worked with B.B. KING, Albert King, ISAAC HAYES and more; Steve Potts (drums), who has been included on records and tours to artists from NEIL YOUNG to Cat Power. Additionally, Rodgers will be joined by The Royal Singers, three soulful, gospel-rooted vocalists, including Shontelle Norman, Sharisse Norman and Stefanie Bolton, and The Memphis Horns, a multigenerational mix of Memphis’ best blowers, including Marc Franklin (trumpet), James L. Spake (baritone sax), Gary Topper (tenor sax), and Lannie “The Party” McMillan Jr. (tenor sax).

Paul Rodgers said, “Throughout The Royal Sessions’ recording, the love for the music was a palpable presence in the studio. I absolutely cannot wait to tap into that energy again in a room full of music fans in NYC.”
