PORCUPINE TREE Frontman STEVEN WILSON Working On New Solo Album; Video Update Posted - "We've Got A Couple Of Almost Straightforward Pop Tunes"

A six minute short by Lasse Hoile of Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson and his solo band working at AIR Studios last month is available below. It features previews of the new album as a work in progress.

Wilson: "Now I'm looking again to bring in some of the other elements from my musical repertoire, so we've got electronic music on the album, we've got a couple of real, almost straightforward pop tunes."

Wilson's band features Guthrie Govan (guitars), Marco Minnemann (drums), Nick Beggs (bass), Adam Holzman (keyboards), and Theo Travis (saxophone, flute).

Wilson released his third solo album, The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories), via Kscope in February 2013.

Engineered by Alan Parsons and produced by Wilson, all six tracks on the album are based on stories of the supernatural; Wilson also released a deluxe edition including a 128 page hardcover book containing lyrics and ghost stories illustrated by Hajo Mueller.
