German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR have issued the following studio update:

"Most of the recordings for the new Primal Fear album are done! Yesterday, we spend our final day at the House Of Music Studio and finsihed our work there. We worked 15 hrs a day during last couple of weeks and a personal tough period for the band. But the result is so satisfying, that it was worth to drive the engine to the limit. Huge compliments to our engineer Charlie Bauerfeind, who co-produced the album again together with Mat Sinner. It was a pleasure to work with Charlie again. Thanks to the House Of Music teamfor a great time! We will have to record some more lead guitars in the coming weeks and some additional vocal lines. Watch out for some surprises coming up! Matthias Ulmer is finishing the keyboard and orchestra files together with Mat next week. We will start mixing the album in early April at the Galaxy Studio in Belgium, together with Ronald Prent. We will reveal the album title and the finalized song titles on this page soon!

In additional news, the Metal Is Forever "best of" album is riding high in Japan for a second month in the Burrn Charts, plus Primal Fear is still in the Japan Top 30 Rock & Metalbands for 9 months now! The "best of" album will be released in the US/Canada on April 2nd, 2007!

Primal Fear in the US: In a surprising show of support that surely is even shocking to Glenn Harveston (promoter), this year's installment of the annual ProgPower USA VIII (being held at Atlanta’s Center Stage on October 5th - 6th) has sold an unprecedented amount of tickets in the first few hours of going on sale, despite the actual event being seven months away. Harveston reports that after 10 hours of sales, less than 250 tickets (approx. 1/4 of the venue's capacity) remain. Check out www.progpowerusa.com for more info."

As previously reported, songtitles set to appear on Primal Fear's follow-up to 2005's Seven Seals include 'Save Me', 'Fighting The Darkness', 'The Curse Of Sharon', 'Psycho', 'The Final Word' and 'Every Time It Rains'.
