QUEENSRŸCHE Guitarist MICHAEL WILTON Talks New Album In Video Interview - "The Music Is Really Encompassing Probably The First Five Records"

In the clip below, Queensrÿche guitarist Michael Wilton speaks with Jay Nanda at the San Antonio Metal Music Examiner and AXS.com about the band's highly anticipated next album, their second to feature vocalist Todd La Torre:

La Torre recently issued the following update on the band's new studio album, the second one to feature La Torre in place of original singer Geoff Tate:

"Many have asked if this new record will be longer than the last one we released. Yes, it will be significantly longer. We have recorded well over an hour of material on this new one. No fat, no filler, just pure Queensryche. Lastly, it sounds sonically awesome as well

Eddie Jackson of Queensrÿche was a recent guest on Noize In The Attic - Where Your Past Comes Back To Haunt You on 88.7FM New Haven CT. Eddie catches us up on the new record, the Monsters Of Rock cruise and all things Ryche.

About the upcoming new album, Jackson says, “A bit edgier of a sound than the last album, a few more up-tempo songs. Guitar wise, it’s a little more aggressive.”

The full episode below (interview begins at 31 minute mark):

On April 16, Queensrÿche played Magic City Casino in Miami, FL. Before kicking into "The Needle Lies" from Operation Mindcrime, vocalist Todd La Torre told the crowd, "We've been working hard, we've got a new album coming out, and it's almost finished being recorded. I'm very proud of it. We're all very proud of what we're going to be showing you guys very, very soon."
