Revived THE OSBOURNES Reality Show To Air On VH1

VH1 has revived the reality series starring Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The Viacom-owned cable network is near a deal for a new batch of episodes of the former MTV reality series.

The news comes after Sharon Osbourne has been public about the show's revival, noting that it will likely come back for six or eight episodes.

The news comes nearly 10 years after the Osbournes signed off at VH1 corporate sibling MTV following a four-season run. The show, which earned a 2002 Emmy for outstanding reality program, launched in March 2002, and its freshman run became the most viewed series ever on MTV up until that point. (A variety show, Osbournes Reloaded, failed to work on Fox in 2009 and was canceled after one low-rated episode.)

The family most recently teamed for animated series The F'n Osbournes via Canadian animation house Cuppa Coffee Studios.

The unscripted series, which at the time followed rocker Ozzy and his wife/manager and their children, helped to launch the careers of Sharon, Jack and Kelly, who are now all firmly ensconced in the entertainment industry.

Sharon Osbourne recently announced the news on Loose Women, saying Ozzy wants to document their lives now that he's sober following battles with alcohol and drug abuse.

She said: "Ozzy’s decided he wants to do another few episodes, about eight, of The Osbournes. It’s been 13 years since we first did it. He said for the three years we did he was drunk the whole time and he’d like to be sober."
