SCORPIONS - Exhibition Announced To Celebrate Legendary Blackout Painter

German hard rock legends the SCORPIONS check in with the following:
"Our dear friend, Gottfried Helnwein, one of the greatest hyperrealist painters of our time, who created 1982 the iconic artwork of our album Blackout, celebrates this year his 65th birthday. On this occasion, the Viennese Albertina will show the first European Retrospektive of works by Gottfried Helnwein. It is worthwhile to see this wonderful exhibition! It runs from May 25th to October 13th."
Blackout sits at platinum sales in the US (one million units) and Canada (100,000 units) and gold (100,000) in France. The band's eighth album featured a number of stand-out tracks like the radio hit 'No One Like You', 'Dynamite', 'Can't Live Without You', 'China White' and the title track. The cover art is not guitarist Rudolf Schenker but aforementioned artist Gottfried Helnwein.
