Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts are partnering with PledgeMusic to release their upcoming album, Blaster, due on March 31st. Weiland, along with his bandmates guitarist Jeremy Brown, bassist Tommy Black, and drummer Danny Thompson, who have toured together for years, are coming to PledgeMusic to deepen fan engagement during the music making journey and giving fans an inside look at the process. After their highly successful Purple At The Core tour in 2013, the musicians hunkered down in Weiland's Southern California studio and rehearsal space to write and record what would eventually become the rock album, quickly conjuring a fertile creative chemistry.
Weiland, the multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and author has cumulatively sold over 44 million records worldwide with Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. He's garnered two Grammy Awards in the category of Best Hard Rock Performance -in 2005 for "Slither" and in 1994 for "Plush". Stone Temple Pilots' Purple debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200; a feat also accomplished by Velvet Revolver's Contraband. Weiland released his memoir, Not Dead & Not For Sale, in 2011. Still, his most powerful music is yet to come with the release of 2015's album.
Now with a PledgeMusic campaign in place, Weiland and his band can deliver his worldwide fanbase a chance to partake in unique experiences and receive exclusive items such as signed CDs, handwritten lyric sheets, megaphones, a special paint-balling session, signed guitar and VIP access to upcoming tour. With every pledge, fans will receive a download of "Mozilla" from the upcoming album. Pledge now at this location.
