SLASH To Play Australia’s National Rugby League Final

According to Dailytelegraph.com.au, Australia’s National Rugby League (NRL) are planning to announce former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash as the pre-game entertainment for the October 5th NRL final at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

The announcement of Slash to the grand final day entertainment is an obvious fit with his sizzling solo work providing the theme music for Nine’s NRL finals coverage (see below) . More details are set to be announced by the NRL in coming days.

Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators will release their new album, World On Fire, on September 16th.

The World On Fire disc marks Slash’s third solo offering and second album with his official band The Conspirators which features Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Todd Kerns (bass). For World On Fire, Slash and the band worked with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Falling In Reverse, Incubus) to create a powerful new turn for the band in 17 songs.
