SO HIDEOUS To Release Orchestral Version Of Sophomore Album Laurestine

Brooklyn-based act So Hideous will release an orchestral version of their sophomore album, Laurestine, in correlation with their upcoming first-ever appearances on the West Coast this May alongside Bosse-de-Nage.

Laurestine (Orchestral) will be released via Prosthetic Records on May 6th across all digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Bandcamp). The band will kick off their West Coast tour the prior day (May 5th) in Tempe, AZ and will head northwest along the coast before finalizing their trek in San Francisco, CA on May 15th.

Laurestine (Orchestral) was recorded by the 30-member The First Light Orchestra at Little Field Performance and Art Space in Brooklyn with Chris Montgomery (Mumford and Sons, Lily Allen) while being engineered at Portsmouth, NH's Wild Arctic Recording Studios by Dean Baltulonis (Lucero, Sick of it All, Modern Life is War). A concept album about a man’s interior journey in the minutes after death, Laurestine begins with “Yesteryear” and continues through seven tracks, connected seamlessly as one long song. “Cinematic” to the utmost, the album paints vivid pictures – explosive, majestic, cathartic.

Tracklisting:

“Yesteryear”
